Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made the words popular: let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. But, it was the prophet Amos who first issued this call to people who thought worship was their only responsibility to God. Through Amos, the Lord makes it clear to them and to us that worship is step one. Living a life of worship - that helps bring liberty and justice to others - is the believer's ultimate goal, which brings God the ultimate glory.
